From Tired to Tuned In

Just over a year ago, Izzy was feeling off, not just in her body, but in her energy, her training, her mindset.

She was 62kg, but the number on the scale wasn’t the issue. It was the constant low energy, the sense that something wasn’t quite clicking. She was going through the motions, but not really feeling connected to herself or her training.

A New Kind of Training: Simple, Intentional, Strong

Together with Dare Head Coach Vince Rogato, Izzy began to reset – not just her training, but her entire relationship with health.

They started slowly, focusing on full-body strength, quality of movement, and building from the ground up. Think: antagonist supersets and controlled tempo exercises.

“My focus with Izzy wasn’t weight loss,” Vince explains. “It was helping her rebuild a healthy, lasting foundation. Training that felt good and worked with her body. Nutrition designed to fuel her performance.”

Izzy also returned to whole foods – more protein, lots of colour, and enough fuel to support her training. No cutting corners. Just steady, sustainable nourishment.

Izzy’s Photoshoot Prep

With a photoshoot coming up, the next phase was about refinement.Training evolved into a push/pull/legs structure, with higher volume but the same commitment to movement quality. Her recovery became just as important as her reps. Sleep, steps, hydration, stress management – it all mattered.

“I started feeling like myself again. Stronger, clearer, more aligned. It wasn’t just about the photoshoot. It was about the way I moved through my day – lighter, more grounded, and proud of how far I’d come.” – Izzy

From the start of her journey to when she stepped in front of the camera over 12 months later she was down 8kg. But the number was never her focus. What mattered was that she felt strong, energised, and at home in her own skin.

What This Journey Was Really About

“This has been about showing up for myself daily,” Izzy says. “Training became my therapy. Getting my steps in, sleeping properly, fuelling my body – those simple things became the pillars I could lean on. It’s not just about weight loss. It’s about building a life that supports who I am and how I want to feel.”

This wasn’t just a transformation. It was a return – to strength, self-trust, and a sustainable way of living.
