How a Personalised Training Plan Helped Michael Achieve His Best Results Yet

We’ve loved having Michael as part of the DARE community. He’s consistent, curious, and always up for a challenge.
Between raising two young kids and managing a demanding corporate role, Michael still shows up, and brings a quiet determination to every session. With a background in elite golf, he knows the value of structure and mindset. So earlier this year, he set himself a personal goal: a photoshoot to track his progress and take his training up a level.
But with 8 weeks to go, things got tough. Life got busy. Confidence dipped.
What happened next is a real reminder of how quickly things can shift – when you’ve got a great personalised training plan, the right people around you, and you’re willing to lean in.
Here’s Michael’s story, in his own words:
“With 8 weeks to go, my confidence was low. The combination of a busy home and work life was getting the better of me.
I was having a bit of a crisis — staring down the photoshoot and feeling nowhere near ready. It felt like a mountain to climb.
After chatting with the DARE team — Zeek, David and Vinnie — it became clear I wasn’t lacking motivation… I just needed a tailored workout plan.
Structure had always been my friend, from playing elite golf as a kid right through to my corporate career.
Within days, the guys had rallied around me and created a clear, achievable plan. All I had to do was follow it.
And pretty quickly, things started to shift.
My strength came back. My numbers were moving in the right direction. And more than anything, my confidence returned.
But the biggest win? I felt better mentally.
That filtered into every other part of my life — I had more energy for my kids, I was sharper at work, and I found myself genuinely looking forward to each training session. That momentum kept feeding itself.
8 weeks later, I was absolutely stoked with the results.
The fittest I’ve ever been — and proud of how far I’d come.”
So what changed?

So what’s next?
Michael’s now working towards his next goal: training for a bodybuilding show next year.
